  The owner is so sweet staff is excellent, location is perfect, cabins are available as well, 10 minute hike to the eel river to tube, rope swing and fish. Close to Avenue of the Giants campsite has lots for the kids to do. Huge playground, swimming pool, b-ball courts, volley ball, ping pong, karaoke, small pub for the grownups, it is wonderful.

  We had a pleasant stay in the lodge. The rooms are typical lodge fair, made to sleep several people (our room had two queens and a twin bed packed in tightly to sleep up to five). There's a small kitchenette as well. No daily maid service, just housekeeping after you leave. Wifi was $4 a day per device and was good enough for checking email and light web browsing. The people at the front office were very kind and helpful. Overall, a pleasant stay. Karaoke on Saturday nights at the pub was a big bonus too.

  We were really excited about staying here as the owner was super friendly and there's a well stocked shop. But the facilities are awful. Very dated and dirty. Not much worked and in the morning we had no water at all; we couldn't flush the toilet, run the taps or even get drinking water. There was no one around to help out or ask what the problem was
